Google Announces June 2019 Core Algorithm Update | VELOX
Google released another Core Algorithm Update on June 3, 2019.
Why Is This Core Update Important?
The reason why this core update was important was because this is the first time that Google pre-announced they were making an updates to the core algorithm. For this update, Google wanted to be "proactive. Rather than people scratching their heads after-the-fact and asking "hmm?," [Google] thought it would be good to just let folks know before it rolled out."
What Is a Core Update?
Core Updates are general updates they make several times a year. They do not focus on a particular website characteristic.

What We’ve Learned From a Decade of Driving BigCommerce Revenue Growth
Over a decade of BigCommerce experience has taught VELOX that sustainable growth requires technical SEO, strategic paid media, and thoughtful content, together, not in isolation.

What Google Says You Should Do to Optimize for AI Search
Google's new AI search guidance favors human-first, unique content and solid technical SEO, while dismissing tactics like llms.txt, content chunking, and heavy structured data as unnecessary. VELOX still recommends these "unnecessary" tactics as low-cost hedges, since Google's rules don't apply to ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI platforms.
